The Royal Society has release a new report that reviews what's happened in education since the introduction of the UK computing curriculum in 2014.
It's an interesting read that shows there's more to be done to promote and develop computing education and that "(i)t's future development and sustainability depend on swift and coordinated action by governments, industry, and non-profit organisations".

Yes, definitely an interesting read, specially as there aren't many other similar reports that look at the big picture.
